There is something magical about vintage clothing. You put it on and suddenly you feel transported back in time with all the memories the article of clothing has seen.
That wonderful feeling is just what I experienced when I walked into The Magic Mirror in Lockhart Texas. Located downtown, this is a great place to visit and find that perfect vintage outfit or other memorabilia that will carry you back in time.
The proprietor Natalie has excellent taste in all things vintage. I took my daughters to shop and some of the treasures we brought home were a corvette sweater, a beautiful cape, a classic Jackie O coat, dresses, gloves and a Rolleiflex camera.
Lockhart is a cute little town between Austin and San Antonio that boasts some of the best barbecue in Texas. It’s a great place for a weekend drive, check out Blacks’s or Smittys Barbecue, then go to Magic Mirror, and find yourself transported with the memories that can only be found with that perfect vintage piece.
