Bistro Milano at 1350 Avenue of the America’s

Waiter Ben Hur makes you feel like you’ve walked into his home.

We had wine, a ribeye steak that was cooked to perfection,a chaser salad and pasta with butter sauce.

The first thing that happened when we walked into this great restaurant was Ben Hur greeted us with a warm welcome making us feel as if we were old friends who had just walked into his home.

We ordered a steak a ceased salad and some delicious pasta with butter sauce and a ceased salad.   The food was delicious, the service was beyond excellent and the ambience was perfect.  If I lived in New York I would be there every night.

Very busy and noisy

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon.   The place was very busy and noisy.  I had the grilled cheese sandwich with Canadian bacon and pear, the flavors were perfect and delicious.   My husband ordered the turkey sandwich and they were very generous with the turkey.  Fries had lots of flavor.

Excellent wine selection many options by the glass that you don’t normally see.

Service was a bit slow and once served I felt like we were being rushed to finish and get out.   I wish we could have been given more time to sit and enjoy another glass of wine or dessert.

Tuna Belly

Grilled Sardines

If I lived in New York City I would be in this place daily.  They have multiple little cafe’s as well as a grocery store, so you can sit and have a meal or you can purchase what you need to cook a meal at home, or you can order a meal and bring it home.  One of their cafe’s offers a Canolli Flight….

We had tuna belly, grilled sardines and a thin sliced meat and cheese platter.  And of course a Canolli flight.

Great service, beautiful food.  One of their cafe’s offers cooking classes.

Well worth the subway ride to the Flat Iron District.   My next trip to NYC will be a non stop subway trip there.

Ricky and Phoebe bartenders

We were on our way to another spot when the bouncer at the Service entrance of this location caught our eye.

We caught the Service elevator up and found some awesome city views.

Phoebe our bartender made an excellent Expresso Martini.  The crowd was fun the drinks were great.

We had such a nice time that we returned the following night this time Ricky was behind the bar.  He was lots of fun and poured awesome drinks.

A great place to visit for beautiful views, fun conversations and awesome drinks.
