Classic Cruise

Offering a variety of different cruises we chose The Sunset Cruise on The Madeline.

The captain and crew Wes, Cat and Tebow were entertaining as well as very knowledgeable and professional, we had a wonderful time and learned a lot about the area.

The cloud cover did not take away from the sunset, we were treated to a beautiful smoldering sky.  In addition to watching the sunset we sailed past historic homes Clingstone, Hammersmith Farm as well as Fort Adams.

If you are all about the sunset sit in the bow if you want fun and history sit in the stern next to the captain, you will still get the sunset in the stern but you will also get first hand information about the area.

The cost of the sail was $48.00 a person and the 40 person capacity of the boat is just a little bit crowded but we boarded early so had a good choice for where to sit.

A lovely cruise, we were told this one sells out almost every evening so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance, I would definitely check out the other cruises offered by this company when I return to Newport.
